The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has held balloting for its flagbearer aspirants prior to the special delegates conference slated for August 26.
The balloting, which was done in Accra today, Wednesday, July 26, 2023, saw Ken Agyapong picking the first slot while agents of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia picked the 10th position for him.

During the August 26, 2023, super delegates conference, 900 delegates will vote to slash the number aspirants to five. The party will subsequently vote on November 4, 2023, to elect a Flagbearer to lead the party to the 2024 election.
