The National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme has been fired by the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection.
This was contained in a letter dated Tuesday, May 18, 2021 by Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection Sarah Adwoa Safo.
Mrs Gertrude Quashigah took over the administration of the Programme in March 2020 after the dismissal of Dr Kwame Adu-Nsiah.
No reason was given in her letter of dismissal but she has been asked to hand over any official documents or property in her custody to the Chief Director of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection.
“We appreciate your support towards execution of the mandate of the Ghana School Feeding Programme during this period,” the letter signed by Minister Sarah Adwoa Safo said.
“We wish you well in your endeavours.”
