Sarkodie says he will be staying indoors and having zoom calls only as fuel prices hikes up

Now at Ghc8 and expected to go up a little about Ghc10 from Wednesday, fuel has become the talk and worry of many Ghanaians.

Citizens of all classes have in diverse ways expressed worries as it affects domestic commodities as well.

One aspect of Ghanaian day-to-day life that gets affected by the situation is obviously the increase in fares which has over the weeks sparked a lot of agitations.

Sadly, celebrities who are perceived to be in the right position to survive the situation have all in one way or the other lamented too.

AMG Rapper Medikal is recalled to have said with the constant hikes in fuel prices he will opt for a horse as his means of transportation.

Other celebrities like Beverly Afaglo, Yvonne Nelson, and comic actor, Mikki Osei Berko have all expressed their worry.

The latest to join the train is rapper Sarkodie who today took to his Twitter to express his disgust.

He noted that his frequent movements will be cut due to the fuel situation stating that all interviews may have to be virtual.

Meanwhile, The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers Ghana (COPEC) has predicted that diesel may cross the GH¢10 per litre mark.

It added that petrol will cross GH¢9 from Wednesday, March 16, 2022.

COPEC attributed its prediction on the rising cost of crude on the international market and the cedi which is currently depreciating among major trading currencies.
