Many people may question his choice, but for Nick Cannon, polygamy works perfectly fine with him. The American comedian and rapper have fathered seven children with four different famous women.

According to the actor, monogamy is a Eurocentric concept that subscribes you to only one person for the rest of your life. In an interview with the Breakfast Club, Nick Cannon revealed that having children with different women was intentional and purposeful on his part.

“That’s a Eurocentric concept when you think about the idea that you’re supposed to have this one person for the rest of your life. Really, that’s just to classify property when you think about it. When you go into that mindset, just the idea that a man should have one woman — we shouldn’t have anything. I have no ownership over this person.

Nick also pointed out that the institution of marriage was borne out of a need to classify property. She disclosed that he had no ownership over his baby mamas. And that all they did was to create “beautiful entities.”

“I’ve never subscribed to that mentality,” he shared. “I understand the institution of marriage, but if we go back to what that’s about, that was to classify property. One father gave another man his daughter for land. I don’t want ownership over anybody. I don’t have ownership over any of the mothers. We created a beautiful entity.”

Nick has two 9-year-old twins with singer Mariah Carey. He has another set of twins with DJ Abby De La Rosa, and Model Brittany Bel also has a son and daughter. And shares a son with Alyssa Scott.
