Mr Irbard Ibrahim, the “Security Analyst” turned Marriage Counselor took to his Facebook page to post a video, in which he’s captured at a supposed marriage grounds, giving marital advices with references to Islamic teachings.
In the video, Irbard is heard saying in Hausa, a popular local dialect of the Muslim communities in the southern part of the country, that house chores are the sole responsibilities of the woman/wife, adding that the husband is to remain the breadwinner.
He wrote:
“Short Message at the Nikkah of Hajj Sheikh Abdul Rasheed
Cooking, washing and ironing are a wife’s responsibility. A man is only encouraged to lend a helping hand but those are not his responsibilities. His is to provide daily bread and protection to the family.”
