Amina Sanni-Toure

Amina Sanni-Toure is a 2021 Mandela Washington Fellow. She is a Medical Doctor at the Upper West Regional Hospital. She is the Executive Director of Health Education Reachout Africa, an NGO which provides health education, free medical screening, advocates against drug abuse, and mentors females on their career choices in the urban poor communities. Amina Sanni-Toure has worked as a country representative for Zongo Diaspora outreach foundation/Africa Diaspora Media group, Germany.

She attended Krobo Girls Senior High School, had both her first degree and medical Education at the University of Ghana. Growing up in Accra-Nima, Amina defied all odds to pursue her dream to become a medical doctor after obtaining a degree in Zoology; to serve as a role model to other less privileged girls. She is open to learning from inspiring people. She has worked in Accra and now serving in Northern Ghana.

Her aspirations are to acquire mobile clinics to make primary healthcare readily available to deprived communities and to train more mentees to increase the impact of her service.
