FDA warns public over expired Charmé juice; distributor arrested

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service has retrieved 270 cartons of Charmé sparkling non-alcoholic red and white grape juice from the market.

A release signed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FDA, Delese A. A. Darko disclosed that their action was occasioned through a tipoff by a vigilant member of the public.

She further stated that the distributor of the product has also been arrested to assist with investigations.

“The FDA will retrieve any of these products found during its market surveillance activities. Also, persons in possession of these products should return them immediately to any FDA office across the country,” the CEO added.
