FDA approves Pfizer Sputnik V vaccine

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA),/ has approved the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 15 and above.

The FDA/gave the approval for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to be administered to children between 15 and 17 years.

The director-general of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, disclosed this in an interview with Graphic Online.

According to him, “this is a very important news for us, because the most active group for us are the young ones in that age.”

He explained that the move will help reduce school outbreaks.

He also posited that the approval will help give Ghana proper herd immunity.
