Nigerian Superstar, Davido has donated all the money he received from friends and collaborators to orphanages across Nigeria.
Over the week, the “If” hitmaker, ahead of his birthday on Sunday, November 21, asked his friends to gift him N1 million Naira each.
What started as a joke quickly became serious as friends and colleagues in the industry sent him money to the tune of N201 million Naira.
A very surprised and grateful Davido, today, decided that all though the money was much and could do him a lot of good, he has decided to donate all of it, including an additional N50 million of his own to orphanages across Nigeria.
The money will be ably disbursed by a five-member committee.
Davido’s gesture has generated a lot of praise from fans and colleagues worldwide.
