Premier League side, Liverpool has reportedly signed U-20 Golden Ball winner, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku from Division One side, Steadfast FC on a long-term contract.
The 17-year-old was initially on the verge of joining Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen, however, the proposed move to the German side collapsed due to “dubious behavior on the part of Fatawu’s advisor.”
Now, the Ghanaian wonderkid has reportedly put pen to paper 5-year contract ahead of the 2021/2022 season.
The deal will see the U-20 star join the Reds’ Academy where he will most likely be sent on loan for the rest of the season or will be a part of the team before he can sign a professional contract as he is just 17 and ineligible to do that.
